man my uncle lives in lithia springs west of the take off for west side and where he is is right where the spool back is and we are at 1001 ft above sea level there and it is so awesome to be out side and hear the planes roar and all of a sudden it gets dead quite while they are still right over head of us

@MrKyvegas00 Your right about that..Atlanta is served by only a handful of non-US carriers so it makes plane spotting kinda boring..They do have quite of bit of foreign cargo flights that come in.

@MrKyvegas00 That is a crazy long haul flight..I imagine that a Vietnam flight must have a stopover prior to reaching Vietnam..Also, to my knowledge Vietnam does'nt fly to Los Angeles which I assume would be a first logical port of entry given the large Vietnamese population..I never knew Atlanta had the O&D to support such a flight.

@MrKyvegas00 Also, I'd like to point out that I'm still bummed out after losing SFO-SYD service on Qantas in favor of a DFW-BNE-SYD route instead..I can't believe Qantas pulled out of San Francisco in favor of Dallas. The O&D for an Aussie flight from Dallas is pathetic compared to San Francisco. When I found out that Dallas officials sweetened the deal with a 3.1 million incentive with a OW conneting hub (AA hub) then I realized..I believe this route will fail.

Ok I see this all the time, what is with Air France taxiing with their spoilers deployed after landing. When I see this, it seems as if they leave them deployed until they pull into the ramp. Is it a speed control at idle thrust or something?

My guess is that their checklist doesnt call for spoilers down until they are taxiing to the ramp. They would have little effect at low speed.

@blakman7 well i think this might answer your Q the pilot was probably goimg through last minute checklist and was testing spoilers for landing if he is landing on a short runway he will definently check them on a long runway probably not this just is a procuation

That is soooo long overdue it isn't funny. Great job man...the only problem..it's just way too short.

The Ravens and Falcon's interchange was simply brilliant..James Cameron couldn't set that shot up any better than that!
