The Christian labels starting with the "Songs 4 Worship" Cds that sold widely and were produced by TimeLife/Integirity/Maranatha!­, these Christian labels started producing compilations every month just to sell and stopped producing new talents that would produce new creative material for the Chruches to sing.

Why find new talent when you can just advertise a new greatest hits Christian album.

Unfortunately Mr. Nystrom is one of many victims of greed in the Christian labels that has run amock.

Mr. Nystrom wasn't dropped because of a lack of talent or creativity, rather the label is more focused on making money the fast way through "Greatest Hits" albums.

If you don't believe me, just go to the Integrity or Maranatha! music homepages and what do you see being advertised, "World's greatest praise and worship", "WOW", "Top 25 CCLI".

Mind you, the bulk of these "Top Christian songs" were written in the 90s and 80s.

There is such a lack of talent that you don't have creativity anymore.

The radio simply refuses to play Classic Praise and Worship anymore, you usually have to go online to hear Praise and Worship of which the bulk of is from the very early 2000s, 90s and late 80s.

Turn on the radio and what do you hear from morning till evening "Chris Tomlin" and others like him being repeated over and over again.

For those of you wondering, it is not only Mr. Nystrom who had been dropped from the Christian music labels, many others have left or were also dropped.

This is unfortunate as these artists are very talented but the problem is not the artist but MODERN CHRISTIANITY.

A few years ago, a new trend started in which the dominant Christian music is the one that is the closest to the popularmusic of the world.

It somehow became uncool to sing Praise and Worship and of course the radio went along.

Marty is now working for an airline as a ticket agent in the US after being dropped by the label along with many other artists from Integrity Music. And as for the comment he made about being famous..I think he just meant it as a silly joke..please don't judge him by taking him and how he says things out of context..He is a man of God who has passion for worship.

I love what John Baptizer says in Jn 3.30, "Jesus must increase and I must decrease" (a good "Baptist" distinctive for all denominations). I'm sure our lips have slipped more than once. The Holy Spirit eventually arrests us to keep us humble. He is always dealing with us to shape us into Christ's image. Even great ones like David and Peter had slip-ups. We are no better than Marty and surely we may have failed more than him. Bow down, keep low...falls less painful and Lord lifts you up!

Your comment about Marty actually put the fear of God in my heart. One, it could have been me claiming that fame for myself. Two, surely more than one exacting person would be throwing a stone at me for boasting in the flesh. Three, the Holy Spirit would reveal the true color of my heart to myself or to others. May the blood of Christ and His forgiveness cover us all and cloak us with His righteousness. Have mercy, O God! Forgive us all who touch your glory or claim self-righteousness.

It is hypocrisy like this that drives non-Christians away.

You were simply looking for something to condemn him and be negative about.

You are actually like the Pharisee who said in the Temple "Lord I am not like this man or others who do bad things..."

Stop looking for something to condemn in others.

Mr Nystrom said absolutely nothing wrong.

He is FAMOUS, thats a fact.

By the way, before you condemn me (like you did Mr. Nystrom) for being angry, anger is not a sin.

Jesus was angry and drove the money changers from the Temple, so lets not go there.

You should apologize for fault finding and spreading a false sense of humilty.

Secondly the reason Mr. Nystrom is no longer heard of is because "modern Christians" refuse to listen to classic Praise and Worship anymore.

Thats why you hear only popular Christian music on the radio now a days.
