  • My son showed me this movie, i was scared, but great scary movie.

  • Seeing this makes me want to hind under my bed!!

SO much better then that thing the Americans made!

  • The chicks in this movie were so freakin' hot!

  • I've only seen the trailer of the remake. I could tell the original was better (I've seen it twice now).

  • I don't wanna know what ppl who write/direct horror stories dream about at night...

  • I just finished watching this movie.

I'm a fanatic of horror movies and this one wasn't all that scary. It's not one that makes you jump out of your seat or scream like a little girl; it's more a type of horror that gives you goosebumps and chills. The plotline, overall, was pretty weak. It just deals with friends disappearing throughout the whole movie.

Overall, it was pretty good and I enjoyed it. I guess I prefer Korean horror movies over Japanese, haha.

  • Even the trailer is scary O-o

This is another reason why I love Japan, they're awesome in everything they do.

  • This is not the origional Pulse. The origional is a 1988 amercian horror film. This along with its american version Pulse are nothing like the 88 film which was about a living pulse of electricity pretty much bent on killing a family....which could have inspired this film i suppose.

  • @spyderacid No, they're just totally different movies. This is Kairo, a Japanese horror that another American film called Pulse that was made in the 2000s is a remake of.

  • @spyderacid

That has nothing to do with this movie. The plot doesn't even relate to it at all. It's only the title.

  • When it comes to horror, Japanese people know what they're doing!!!

  • Oh my gosh, our teacher showed part of this movie in class today and this freaked me out more than the Japanese version of The Ring!!! D:

  • insane movie, be face to face with the dead

  • so scary

  • fk this,i love horror movies, but i will wait a daylight to watch this

  • They said it was before ring and grudge eh? Well, not to be cynical, but what was before ring and grudge AND Kairo? Ringu. THE ORIGINAL RING. It set this whole genre :)

  • Havent seen the movie, I think its good but seriously... the trailer sux......

  • this was honestly one of scariest films i've seen, one of my all time favourites.

    America RUINED it

  • 0:54 LOL

  • Kairo was badass and was definitely my favorite Japanese horror movie. But now us Americans trashed it. :(

  • This was creepy as hell!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This film was really good. Eko Eko Azarak is much more scarier than this though!

  • i love this film :3

the original is so much better than the fucking remake Oo

  • check out the Japanese movie "audition" if you like this one

  • You idiots this is Kairo. Very good movie. I just watched it along with the American remake of it and all I have to say is Kairo kicked Pulse's ass.

  • Hit the pause button @ 0:53; that guy staring out at us is the writer-director of this film, Kurosawa Kiyoshi.

  • infection was also a good j-horror movie

  • i couldent tell which ones are suppose to be dead already. i suppose its the ones that move slowly lol?

  • Whatever happened to American horror writers like Wes Craven? What happened to movies like "Dawn of the Dead: and "Texas Chainsaw Massacre"? Now we just remake foreign films. I know that "Thing" was a remake of a 50's film based on a book, but at least it was still a purely American movie! Have the Americans lost their imagination? I'm not ripping on Asian horror films, just the constant remakes that come out.

  • Sometimes I think that American horror is written purely for the intended audience (teenagers with expendable allowance).. not necessarily what the screenwriters actually want to write. What we need is a really scary independent film.

t's not that Americans are unimaginative; the directors just know what sells, and right now, that's Asian horror.

  • @Psypomp actually I prefer American writers to simply drop the idea of trying copy Asian horror movies and do what they do best, I mean...old American horror films used to be the shit too.

But look where they ended up now.

    A bucket full of shit.

  • @Psypomp asian whores do sell..for sure bro.

  • @Psypomp I totally understand what your saying. They need to stop remaking and ripping people off.

I'm not going to joke at all when I say this, but when I'm older, I want to make a fucking scary as hell horror movie called Demoniac Earth. It will probably be made it America, but it will definitely not be a remake of any kind. One of the main ideas of this movie is making something that will jar your senses and make your imagination run wild. It is based on my childhood fears of pure darkness.

  • @Mooco5 I know this is a 1 yr old comment, I must clap for what you said. You are so right! What happened to great movies back then like Nightmare On Elm Street, Friday the 13th, and all those great horror American movies that were once in their fame. Whatever happened to what horror was really about? Honestly, sometimes I think Americans have gotten super lazy and are just remaking from Asian horror film or old horror films. There is no more creativity... What a shame.

  • whats the original

  • Kairo

  • this is the trailor for kairo

  • Hi! If u guyz like horror films and wanna watch something in that genre, check out my film: 'Shadow'!! I'll appreciate it!! :)

  • This has to be, possibly one of my favorite J-Movies ever! I got this movie for 1 dollar, and I am still really addicted to it! One of my favorite, as far a subtitles goes.

I like that computer lady that shoots herself in the silo. Hubba hubba, she is very nice!

    .....tasukete!

  • i remmeber finishing this movie and feeling rly depressed! like the movie made me feel lonly...but thts wht the movie was about hahaha...o.0

  • I think my favorite word in the entire movie (in like all Japanese Horrors probably) is toskete (i most likely wrote it wrong but you know what I mean, :)). It sounds SSSOOOO cool.

  • tasukete, tasukete, tasukete ( help me, help me, help me) tasukete!

Shinpai shinai de kamisama no tokoro ni itte!!!!!!

  • you know what would make it sound even cooler...if you spelt it right (toketee)

  • I apologize but I don't know Japanese. That might be why I spelt it incorrectly, because with how it's pronounced it sounds like there might be an s in there.

  • better than the american version

  • It seems to me that the Japanese have cornered the market on horror films, straight across the board. I have yet to see an American remake that comes close, in terms of quality, plot, script, acting, etc..

  • You know, I'm not sure if it was dubbed or had subtitles. I was just so much more impressed with the Japanese version over the American that it didn't matter.

  • The Japanese version is sooo much better than the American! No comparison.

  • do they speak english in the japanese version?

  • Yeah and they speak Japanese in the English version! =]

  • lol!

  • fuck tht DOES look scarier than the ring n the grudge, n tht already made me sleep deprivd!

  • japanese/thailand/korean movie makers are brilliant and intelligent compare to other movie makers either americans or british..its no COMPARISON at all..The Ring/The Grudge/Pulse/tales of 2 sisters/shutter/and the likes...so scarry and always on top...keep it up.

  • The American movie has NOTHING on the original. As long as American directors, screenwriters and studios (and, I hate to say it, but the movie-going public too) continues to cater to the lowest common denominator with their horror films, we're never going to be able to match the kind of eerie, atmospheric creepiness in movies like Pulse. Hell, this movie had less plot than a lot of horror movies and it was STILL creepy as hell.

  • After all this time American directors, screenwriters and studios still don't get it. Thier remakes do nothing but butcher great films. It annoys me they still can't get a clue.

  • They have a clue. They do it to make money. No other reason. They rely on people like you to watch it anyway. Whether you enjoy it or not is irrelevant.

This is like complaining to your local landmine supplier about peoples legs getting blown off, as if they don't know it's happening. They have a clue and know what they're doing - you, as a mere viewer, don't.

  • The original is great way to cure insomnia.

  • i agree with you 100% andthisgirlislara the americans need to stop tryin to remake asia horrors cause they completely suck at it their versions are garbage.

  • I agree the American remakes suck big time!

  • Exactly UBIX89!

  • Just my opinion, The American remakes of Asian Horrors are SPOOFS.The Asian horros are super original and super artistic....!!! American ones are jokes!!!

  • HAHA, and strangely all of the Americans feel the same way.

  • Really...that's good then!!

  • This movie is awesome! Way better then the remake. From the beginnig to the end of the movie, we feel an intense dark, sinister and creepy ambience, that keeps more and more darker and creepier till the end. That's why this movie its so unforgettable.

The American remake doesn't have that feeling, that ambience. But it´s ok, with some spooky moments, but is not so intense than the original.

  • Tasukete...

    Tasukete...

    Tasukete...

    Tasukete...

  • I liked the remake but now I really wanna see this

  • Can anyone make a vid that says Do You Want To See A Ghost?- so i can scare my friend?

  • look at quieroverunfantasma(dot)com/eng/

I think it is page "I want to see a ghost" :)

  • japanese horror movies are really creepy and scary. and can anyone tell me how to download this movie.

  • Oh man, the way the voice said "Help me" was very creepy.

  • Thailand And Japanese Movie Is The Scariest In The World ...

  • Agree. American horrors are about blood, nothing else. Japanese are about thinking.

  • i dont really agree that there all about blood but i do agree that the japanese filmakers think more while making there films and that the films come out scarier.

  • Japanese horror movies are so much better than American horror movies.

  • yeah but i still prefer the american speach. lol.

  • i do too, but on some japanese horror films you can listen to it in english.

  • Kiyoshi Kurosawa (l)

  • japanize do alot better at making

    horror movies.

  • i agree japanese horror is way better

  • i didn't saw this version yet but if the american version was great then the japanese version is awesome.

  • Tasukete

  • omg why dont americans just leave japanese horrors they way they are?! this is so much better than the remake. NO BLOODY NEED!

  • This movie looks f***ing scary and I never seen it :o XO!!!!!!!

  • great film, and magnolia did a good job overall putting it on DVD. I have the review on my channel with all the info!

  • Ang ganda ng ''Pulse'' trailer.

  • are you retarded?

  • Yes. Lolz!

  • I wouldn't say the scariest, but there are scenes that gave me the chills.

  • i agree with the comments that says tht the japanees horror films are more scarier then the americans,i think becuase he americas like to spoil the movie with monsters and a fucked up guy that kills teenagers...beside the japanees they like to deal with the film in a mental way that it scars you! althoug there are some films from usa films that did that like (the thing).

  • The plane! Lol

  • This sucks!!

  • scariest movie?

you must be kidding, it was s oboring

  • the new one sucked so bad the only cool thing about it was that it was like ture hw technology will enevidably lead us to our own destructruction

  • Why do the American remakes have to screw everything up gosh

  • How have they screwed it up?

  • They changed the whole script that is wat i meant they should have kept it how it was from the original if they are going to take it

  • lesson learned...don't try to help a helpless girl from being killed. Or don't run panicing while your friend is being stabbed. You'll end up toasted too.

  • This is 10x better than what the American remake will be. They changed the whole story around in the English version. >_>

  • yay! Koyuki is in it!

  • mustt seeeee -.-

  • looks quite poor >.>

  • sweet strawberry jam!! that is freaky lookin..O.O

  • I agree with Syeahman >D.

  • @___@ fuck that looks scary!

  • Holy crapp

  • watch the japanese scary movie audition it will scare the shit out of you this movie also scared me.

  • LOL!

  • goddamn o.o

  • Looks like a little of this and that, I didn't see any freaky monster o.O

  • Japanese people can make anything look scary. They can make shit scary, they can make glue scary and even tape scary O.O whats next LOL

  • I'd definately buy that, that looks freaky.

  • W00t! forst comment! omg, that actually looked like it's really good! OMG I would definitely buy it!! But doesn't it seem stupid that American's always remake Asian originals? They just screw it up...that kinda pisses me off...
