It's ridiculous to pray for a conversion of tyrant of this rank. Millions of people dead, millions are oppressed by fear of unspeakable medieval tortures. Wake up, christians, it's not the case and the time to be nice and sissy.

Robert Park is currently locked up in mental hospital by Suzanne Scholtewho is the president of Defense Forum Foundation which is non-profit but have association with US senate.

So basically US government is holding Robert Park.

It's great that people are concerned with the political/social repression and massive food shortages in North Korea, but the religious element is not helping. North Koreans, for all intents and purposes, are religious; they worship Kim Jong-il and Kim Il-sung. It's the concepts of blind faith and religious devotion which cause people to go along with such insanity. We have to show the North Korean people that it is ridiculous to worship anything, whether it be a man or a god, as all-powerful.

MELTDOWN focuses on the recent history of North Korea and it's Nuclear Missile program as it relates to US diplomacy and world security...not so much on the suffering of the N. Korean people. Jesus IS concerned about the suffering of the N. Korean people and many of his followers are making sacrifices so the N. Korean people can have life and freedom. God is fighting for the N. Korean people. He is a defender of the weak.

According to it, Christians are a favorite in prison camps to use as test subjects for chemical and biological weapons.

Jesus and the Bible are banned in North Korea, the only "god" there is Kim Jong iI. His pictures and statues are all over the place. People have to bow down, worship and speak as if he were God, otherwise they and their families will get sent to those death camps.

According to Hanopolis website & the Asia Times article I read, Robert Park was ordered release from the hospital against his family's wishes on March 5 after deemed by a judge to not be suicidal or a threat to anyone.

He was supposed to speak at a press conference in front of the UN on March 15, but cancelled flight there due to weather even though other flights resumed.

There's speculation that he was sexually tortured in North Korea pretty badly and is too embarassed to talk about it.

Robert Park is free from North Korea, though I would guess he must be in another kind of torment right now. See the New York Times article ("North Korea Says It Will Release U.S. Missionary") for quotes from Park repenting of the "West's false propaganda" & speaking of the "fact" of "complete freedom of religion" in North Korea. He needs our prayers for sure.

Oh, okay. His friend's sister from Mexico stays in contact with us about the situation in North Korea and the prayers that are needed, but only on a monthly/bimonthly basis. I follow along as I can. Still, we will continue to pray.

We pray with our brothers for the conversion of their leader, for the freedom of the prisoners, for the closure of the prisoner camps, and most of all, for the precious Gospel of Christ to flood this nation with hope and help.
