This makes me think... when we are able to travel between galaxys in a matter of minutes and after we find life on a distant planet... will we wage war over what to call the formations we see in the sky? Or over what language the other species should speak? Or will we accept one another's ideas and live in peace... forever...?

I am not trying to prove that the Quran is the word of God using scientific knowledge as a yard stick because any yardstick is supposed to be more superior than what is being checked or verified. For us Muslims the Quran is the Furqan i.e. criteria to judge right from wrong and the ultimate yardstick which is more superior to scientific knowledge.

makes you thoroughly appreciate our position in the universe, ha makes my problems seem so insignificant, even pointless, god how fortunate we are to have life and gaze upon such a wonderous, vast, frightening, exciting, thing that is there whether we care or not. Really gives you perspective, I almost seem nieve complaining about anything now, when such beauty can be had for free.
