I have no problem with muslim or islam , but i think Malaysia should allow religious freedom, especially for the Malay. People should have basic human right to choose what they beleive in, not forced to be a muslim just because they are Malay.

well its difficult bro because the construction of malay identity for belong muslim was done by the co-operation between the british and the Malay sultanates so its easy for the Sultan to have power over their subjects over the basis of same religion... But yeah,, article 160(2) is a british colonial construct...

@mikecsj Talking about freedom. I believe then we should also have freedom for the country to let their citizens of certain ethnics, like the malays, to keep and preserve their loyalty to Islam. and not forced to get out of Islam due to cultural westernization no?

kau kena faham orang melayu kuat dengan budaya dan agama...aku boleh katakan 00.01 peratus sahaja yang kurang faham pasal bangsa melayu mereka sendiri...beratus tahun TANAH MELAYU dijajah..org melayu tidak perlu hidup bebas macam amerika dan negara barat.orang melayu memang tidak boleh terima pun undang2 barat.kau jagan nak samakan melayu dengan KAUM PENDATANG yang lain....aku harap kau faham...tanah melayu baru 53 tahun merdeka...fikir2 lah sedalam2 nya....

That is true. But it lacks civil rights and slowly turning more Islamic then it was 50 years ago. The right term for Malaysia is it is one of the best examples instead of the best
