This reminds me of my cat from when i was a kid, the funniest way to wake him was walk past with food or open a can of catfood near him. Marty was the funniest deaf white cat in the world, he would stick his head into the bell of my trumpet when i would try to practice and would result in my laughing in the horn making blasting noises. He would always be ready and waiting in the window when we got home cause the truck had a 350 v8 and old rusted exhaust pipes. I loved that cat.

I have just picked up my deaf dog, Heidi, from an animal shelter, and no one wanted her because she was deaf. She was found on the streets, and near an Australian Cattle Dog breeder (her breed). It turns out the breeder dumped her on the streets because of her deafness. No one understands just how sweet deaf dogs are, apart from the rare ones like you :). Your Betty is gorgeous :)
