These guys were so amazing. All their albums are still worth a listen. Too bad they never got the recognition they deserved. Great music and very clever lyrics. The vocals are versatile and the guitar work is superb. I am so glad I got to see them live. Wonderful while you are driving.
City Boy has been my favorite band since I first heard them in the Seventies, and so far no one has been able to outdo them, in my opinion. It's just such good fuckin' music!!!
City Boy is one of the most criminally underrated bands I ever heard. Although they did put out good albums, Mercury/Phonogram should have done a better job of breaking them in America (those Mercury albums are excellent in my book).
I've been a fan since 76 and I still cherish their music very much. I like all their albums except the last one. It's a shame they never go the attention they deserved but at least their music lives on. I had the opportunity to see them live three times and also the honour to meet them backstage. They seemed like very nice people to me. :)
I´m a big cityboy fan and I'm just amazed over YouTube. I search for Cityboy every time I'm on YouTube and I thought I found THE videos of Cityboy that exists and I found this! I love YouTube and I love all you guys who post these videos!!!
Interestingly enough this was the first time EVER that an artist actually played LIVE on TOTP......meaning that we actually played the song in the studio while they recorded for the future broadcast...before this EVERY artist had to mime to their original record.......we were followed by YES who performed "Yours is no disgrace".....halcion days!!
@cdtheduck What a great performance - and what a thrill to see you live on stage! Did you record any other songs at the same time? If you should ever re-unite - please visit Norway - if only for one show?!? There are lots of "afficionados" out here that would love your come-back! Thank you for lots of great songs - you have really made a big musical footprint.
The drummer roger kent in this band is my dad

Nize, same here, started to listen to them in the late 70:s, but unfortunately I never saw them live..
Very special own unique sound and original songs, not so much of that nowadays, is it?

Thanks for posting, but this single didn't get to No.32, in fact it didn't even reach the Top 50!
