To all the people complaining that WRXs are AWD: Newer models have an adjustable centre differential. You can set it to push most of the power to the rear wheels.
@Leftbehind126 You're right - "push" was the wrong word to use. On full lock, the center diff will give a 50/50 front/rear torque split. Reducing the lock-up will allow you to direct as much as 65% of the torque to the rear wheels.
4X4 as you drive, you can not do drift, because when you manage to go sideways when you add gas it starts to pull forward and straighten the car, but it gives it great speed and good output drive circuit Ex;)
The DCCD is geared at a 35/65 split for 04, later years are more like 40/60. This is set and does NOT change, no matter what your DCCD is set to. Changing the settings on the DCCD only changes the friction difference needed to engage the clutch packs in the center diff. If you have it on it's lowest manual setting you will get a 35/65 split with what could be compared to an open center diff., in the "Lock" setting you will have a Locked Center Diff and a torque split of...35/65.
Wait a minute...... You mean to tell me you are actually doing this on a closed course/race track and not on a heavily populated street!!??? God, thats just not right!!!
