The forerunners actually "debased" humans, making them primitive again.

@Caliente1593 I'm not entirely sure yet as the last two books to the forerunners story aren't out yet, but in the first novel the librarian, the forerunner with all knowledge of life, chose two humans to help her with her master plan. I just guess that eventually the forerunners saw the humans as the best species to leave their technology too. We'll know for sure when the second book in the forerunner saga is released by microsoft though.

@TheKing0fHalo are you just plain stupid? the forerunners were very similar if not almost the same as humans and preserved their species along with many others for when after the halos fired. they left humans their legacy in any case that the flood was to come back. That's why only humans can activate halo. Humans were already primitive and near neanderthal.

@Caliente1593 I'm not entirely sure yet as the last two books to the forerunners story aren't out yet, but in the first novel the librarian, the forerunner with all knowledge of life, chose two humans to help her with her master plan. I just guess that eventually the forerunners saw the humans as the best species to leave their technology too. We'll know for sure when the second book in the forerunner saga is released by microsoft though.

@TheKing0fHalo dude....holy shit man...when i saw this video i instantly remembered a scene from halo 1...back in the Pillar of Autumn the final level when youre destroying halo...guilty spark was infact getting human...our history into his memory. i always found it strange why he would be so excited about human history and how he mentioned "all this lost time!"

@TheKing0fHalo Not how it happened. At all. Human's were the Forerunners' proteges. The Forerunners chose Humanity to reclaim their society and technology once the Forerunners were gone from this world. Humanity was never at the tech level (Tech Level 1) of the Forerunners. They were simply inheritors.

@Relugus Possibly, if I remember correctly his Boren's Syndrome was caused by radiation from too many plasma grenades. Maybe that induced his hidden immunity.

@TheKing0fHalo uh dude not to be a nerd or a douche but from what i actually got out of halo crytum im pretty sure the humans were about the same as unsc is in halo 3. thats how they fought the war and didnbt lose for a while but they got kicked back to primative tech when the halo rings fired not entirly sure but thats what i think btw halo crytum = most boring halo book ever of all time nogt getting the next one for sure

@d0p3xMERCurY Forerunners did change humans after defeating them, they created everything from small, primitive humans to humans that look more like us. After the Forerunners "debased" mankind, the Flood showed up again, that's when they created the Halo rings and fired them.

@TheKing0fHalo Wrong, Humans are descendants of Forerunners. The "forerunner" race wiped itself out, when firing the rings originally. A few survived and repopulated planets with protected beings that were kept in shield worlds. We were never equal to the forerunners and besides if we were equal or better, the precursors would have wiped us out. The precursors existed before everyone, and were the only species to reach tier 0 zero on the technology scale, 0 being highest.

@xXEnr4gedHoboXx Actually you're wrong, if you've read the book, humans and forerunners were equal, the only reason we lost to the forerunners was because we were already engaged in a war with the flood. After loosing our species was debased as punishment by the forerunners. Both the Forerunners and our Race were actually molded into existence supposedly by the precursors. Humans were never forerunners. All of what ive said can be proven by the book Halo: Cryptum
