This song fits my situation so well! I am too shy to have any friends and I just don't have a life. I have sung this in my room like 15 times just now, wishing I wasn't on the outside anymore.
All my friends call me names and avoid me because i like country music and like to write songs. While they're all into art, horse, fashion, make up and going to netball or hockey matches i'm sitting there with a pen in one hand and a guitar in the other. This is honestly how I felt about my lacrosse team freshman year... I was a Freshman on Varsity... The Juniors and Seniors had a special bond with eachother that I wasn't included in... It was so hard for me to play on a team that I didn't feel like I was a part of. It screwed up my season a lot. And when I had a bad game or something I would be critisized like it was my fault.

@bocaj124 it'll be ok that happened to me at the beggining of year nine, one of my friends started ditching be for a guy, and then the other ditched me because i wasnt cool anougth to hang out with her. and id been friends with her since i was four. im friends with the first one again now that its the begining of year ten in september. but being on the outside has made me a better person and more independant, but taylor swift has helped me through i play guitar and write songs and poems to help

If you get good grades, you can go to a great high school and be really successful, and you'll look back and just think "wow they were stupid. and it wasn't that big of a deal" think of all the other girls going through the same things you are, its middle school, that's just how middle school is.

@bocaj124 I went through the same thing, but I held my head high, smiled through the bad times and kept working hard. It's hard and it hurts but if you look up and ahead, try and stay positive and try to make friends (which you can't if you cry in the toilets every lunch) things get better. I'm sorry this sounds so mean, but I've been through the exact same as you. It truly sucks, I agree, but you can't mope around or you won't make new friends. x x

I'm so sorry... I've been in the outside- cross that. I am STILL in the outside. I've been in the outside for 3 years now, and I don't feel like things are gonna get any better. And if you're ever lonely, try making new friends who really care about you. Youtube friends might even do .It much better than what I'm doing... I don't fit in school, either. My friends say their my best friends but then they go out of their way to annoy me or make me do something bad. Today i asked if I could hang out with one of them, know what they said? I can't. Then the person planned to hang out with someone else after she said I was her favorite. I always feel left out. I don't want to really lose them as friends, but I don't want them to make me a bad person by hanging out with them. I don't know how to walk away..
Middle School is what I think is a really tough time, because everyone hitting that age of puberty. Some people decide that their old friends were not good enough for them and ditch them. When the truth is they probly walked out on one of their truest friends. Being in the so called "in crowd" makes people do some horrid stuff, but always remember everything gets better, no matter the situation there is always something better coming along. :) hope this helped

This is exactly how I feel right now, my bestfriend hasn't even wanted to go anywhere with me in months. And tomorrow is our first day of school, and today she asked me if I would be okay if on the bus she sat with our other friend that she has been ditching me for all summer. I've gotten to the point where I feel like I'm an outcast in my own skin. I said it was fine. What else could I have said?? She would hate me if I said no, I can't control her. Over those days I grew closer to my other best friend Taylor. Fiona still hung out with our group. She started dissing Tori and ignoring her too. This is honestly how I felt about my lacrosse team freshman year... I was a Freshman on Varsity... The Juniors and Seniors had a special bond with eachother that I wasn't included in... It was so hard for me to play on a team that I didn't feel like I was a part of. It screwed up my season a lot. And when I had a bad game or something I would be critisized like it was my fault.

@bocaj124 it'll be ok that happened to me at the beggining of year nine, one of my friends started ditching be for a guy, and then the other ditched me because i wasnt cool anougth to hang out with her. and id been friends with her since i was four. im friends with the first one again now that its the begining of year ten in september. but being on the outside has made me a better person and more independant, but taylor swift has helped me through i play guitar and write songs and poems to help

I know what that's like. But hey look at it this way maybe they wern't true friends and one day you will meet someone real who will be by your side. No reason to cry. @bocaj124 I went through the same thing, but I held my head high, smiled through the bad times and kept working hard. It's hard and it hurts but if you look up and ahead, try and stay positive and try to make friends (which you can't if you cry in the toilets every lunch) things get better. I'm sorry this sounds so mean, but I've been through the exact same as you. It truly sucks, I agree, but you can't mope around or you won't make new friends. x x

I don't fit in school, either. My friends say their my best friends but then they go out of their way to annoy me or make me do something bad. Middle School is what I think is a really tough time, because everyone hitting that age of puberty. Some people decide that their old friends were not good enough for them and ditch them. When the truth is they probly walked out on one of their truest friends. Being in the so called "in crowd" makes people do some horrid stuff, but always remember everything gets better, no matter the situation there is always something better coming along. :) hope this helped

i dont quite fit in my class. i mean i have friends there but i dont like some of them, probably some of them dont like me either. and i dont know why, but i just dont care. strange cuz i always wanted to fit in, and now i love it that im different :D

ive recently realised i dont fit in at school no more:(
all my friends want to do on weekends is get drunk, and im the only one who doesnt want to. i get left out because of it, and if my friends invite me out, i have to let them down because i get left out when they are all drunk:/ its really hard sometimes :(
