@250honda yeah my top end drops off pretty much like a stock or near stock STi. I definitely went with the 0-100 MPH power setup. I don't really have a need to go that fast on the top end. I have taken it up to 155 just to do it, but the Turbo runs out of steam.

Both! It cools the air going into the turbo by spraying water/ meth before the IC and it raises the octane by adding Water and methanol after the IC. Methanol is a denatured alcohol that is very flammable and like all alcohol evaporates much faster than water so it has a cooling effect when sprayed. Octane is calculated by how much heat it takes to combust the fuel, so adding water to fuel raises the octane, reducing knock or detonation ... Alot of info can be found on nasioc website.

The best thing to do if you buy a 07 or newer sti is get it tuned asap. Subaru has leaned the newer models out so much to pass DEQ if you even so much as put on a cold air intake with no tune your risking a blown motor, your ecu will either read lean and run rich or worst case read rich and run lean... If you buy used, spend the money and do a leak down or compression test on the block!!!! Nobody buys a Sti to NOT abuse.
