No one deserved that cup more than Denis Savard. Hall of famer, down on his luck in his career, injured so he couldn't dress. But he still got to lift the cup and had his name on the holy grail. It was special for that reason among others.

How am I a consumer whore? I just stated a fact. Pronger is Canadian and he is a PROFESSIONAL athlete. Regardless of the situation, he ditched Edmonton once the money was waved in front of him, so USING YOUR LOGIC, Canadians are the consumer whores, and greed and money mean more up in Canada then bringing their most cherished trophy home. He had a nice contract in Edmonton, he didn't get an upgrade. He was TRADED. What money waving do you speak of? I agree that atheletes today, regardless of nationality, will go after the pay check. Does a pay check get you a cup? Well a team of big pay checks maybe. That era should be over, so as I stated, Prongers wife is a nut and wanted to move to a city she had ties to rather than see him win or succeed in Edmonton.

Unbelievable to think that this was Canada's last Stanley Cup. It is hard for me to feel bad when one of your own won't even stay, Chris Pronger. He'd rather play in CA. How many US teams are there, 24?
