Snicket always tells his audience to revert from everything in his books "Dont read The End", and "don't buy it", he's not actually serious. He is probably trying to say that he should go for it, like reverse psychology.

@Seguris I thought that The End was a bit of a disappointment, but I think that was intentional. He has spent the whole series telling the readers not to keep reading, and then concludes it by writing a completely unsatisfying ending. Very clever :)

i read these books from 2nd to 5th grade . now 6+ years later im craving to go back and read them. i read the wiki page and it brought back no memories. hopefully if i read them now i will understand it better cuz it was really confusing when i was 7. I LOVE S.U.E!!!!!!!!
