Not really (I'm not sure about TV series though). Miyu-Larva relationships are quite strange yet rare and beautiful. They are portrayed very close, probably even deeper than "lovers" may be.
@cuteyxhoneyxkitty Not so much in the anime, but as usual manga is much better then anime. In the manga there is some kissing and it's more then apparent that they're in love. I love them!
@Hakukaze124 It all depends on what version you're reading/watching. The manga is different, and there's a second manga, New Vampire Princess Miyu, the OVA, the TV show...you'll just have to watch and read them all if you want. ;D

Larva rules...I have to say the first time I watched this in Japanese I had chills when he spoke. You add his mysterious perona with his voice echoing when he first speaks makes for a very dramatic entrance.

There are TV series, but TV and OVA isn't alike at all.
Well, and manga is quite different from both TV and OVA, too ))
OVA version is the best for me.

I couldn't have said it better. That voice seriously made me shiver at first.
It manages to do so even now, if I listen to it after not having heard it for a long time.
