most locos you have to make a consist for first (im pretty sure...someone correct me if im wrong). ive had locos that after making a consist they are in the list. although ive had locos where they come in a consist of just 2 (for example) so they are in the list. i wish i could clarify more but my computer wont let me play train sim for some dumb reason. hope it helps.

You need to go to "MSTS Editors and Tools" and go to "Activity" editor. Go to file, open and open up USA2, trains, trainset, and select a activity (for example, Morning Intermodel) and go to edit consist, and add the add on you have to that train. Save, and run MSTS and enjoy your add on!

One more thing! The CW44s and CW40s have the switch gear under the floor. The Big ACs do their switching electronicly from gear behind the cab.

One more thing.  GEs switch gear is air operated and under the floor. What you hear when he throws the REV is a REV Motor from a GP or SD 40-2.

I hate the 6000s because they need truck change outs, engine change outs, main gen change outs, after only a few years in service.  I took an aux gen out of a GP-38-2 the other day that was build in 1976. Original Equip. GE=Guaranteed Employment.

The guy running in that video couldn't run a train around a christmas tree. He kicks off the automatic and throttles up quickly really smart. In reality he'd have two or three trains after that.

My opinion came from the fact that I am a licensed locomotive engineer with CSXT. You know with an actual federal license to run a train. You can't run a train like that in reality, unless you want 2 or 3 trains.

Radio sounds come with the locos. I personally have the NS Dash 9 and CSX SD70MAC from DW. They are pretty cheap, and great in detail! Simple to install too.

Unzip the file,copy the Loco folder(ex CSX678)into your C:\Program files\Microsoft games\Train Simulator\Trains\TRAINSET folder.Exit the window,insert disc 2,go to activity editor,under file click "New",select a route,just click OK,under the edit window,click player,hit new,then go to consist,hit new,then just click the diesel engines folder and create a consist,save,and should be on MSTS

Hey i ordered the bnsf dash 9-44cw but the bell in cab is very low and can barely hear it is there anyway u can increase the volume of the bell.. Please Reply..

This is what I do. Open the sound file using sound recorder on Windows and go to where is says increase volume by 25%. Do that how many times you want until you have the volume where you want it.  A good tip is not to make it louder than the out side of the engine. You can also use this for horns if you feel a particular engine's horn is not loud enough.
