Agreed -- it is instrumental lip syncing. They are playing along with the original track and what appears to be what we imagine the instruments to be, but it isn't quite right and if you play back the original and this you will find they are exactly the same.

cool idea, but it'd be even more impressive if you were playing the instruments correctly. i don't think you really know how to play the chimes, which you were hitting in the middle of the tube. wow. plus when playing the vibes and marimba, you were playing with your elbows. horrible form. and you should really try to match the note progression.there were times when you played the same note many times in a row, but on diff keys. sorry all i can do is critique, can't help it, i'm a percussionist.

Though, do mention that when you play an instrument, do not only copy the rythm, but also try to copy the note progression. (which you do most of the time already :) )

For example, at 2:42 and 3:30 the music increases pitch, but you play lower and lower bars.

Fun idea, but I'm not a fan of how anything involving pitch is woefully inconsistent. The bass and guitar fingers don't correspond to their intended notes, nor does the chime and metallophone striking follow a consistent pattern. It just looks much more convincing if you follow a pattern for what note is what.
