Quantum foam is the most current theory of that form of subatomic behavior. Which means there is plenty of evidence to support it, though as with most Quantum physics, there are no doubt many more things to understand. All rules change at that level of size, even the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics which says you can't get free energy, which means it is extremely promising.

BTW If an individual chooses to believe in God (on a personal level separated from religion and all its evils) that person has every right to do so. A merciful and kind God as an idea is a good thing. God as religion makes it out to be is BS. You must distinguish between God as an idea and religion because one is terribly wrong but the other can be a good thing for people that need it. Actually nowhere in the Bible does it say "Don't believe in Evolution" though it should. Nobody should "believe" anything. Belief is the problem. When you have reliable facts you no longer need to believe anything, instead you are a gnostic, belief is replaced with knowledge.

I doubt that Jesus ever lived. I think he was a mythological figure, never a real person. And yes, I find the whole merciless portrayal of god about as ridiculous as the notion that there is a god. Humans create these ideas when confronted with their own powerlessness and ignorance. We are becoming less powerless and ignorant however and need to jettison these ideas like the mental illness they so obviously are.
