  • Wow...!

    Nice ABC Story :D

    What fun! Sign language!

  • haha That was awesome! I'd like to share mine:)

  • i understood the alphabet part, but i can't understand the story. can someone please translate what he's saying? thanks =D

  • @alexin2012 He's using the alphabet to make the story, just the handshapes though, not the actual letters. So you don't need to know anything other than the alphabet.

A was adjusting his hat, B was looking for something, C and D someone was coming towards him, e, he was biting his nails, etc. Do you get it?

  • LOL that's look like disputive to be wise so much. say " i not want dead" and scared

  • great!

  • wow that was great!

  • Does anyone know who samuel supalla is??? is he famous?

  • Cool Awesome ^^)it´s fun!

  • I like this video is very good.

  • The counselor on a deaf community Deafornot dot c om said that "People who may be defined as clinically deaf (unable to hear spoken language) may or may not be members of the Deaf community."

  • what you mean W??????? bah

  • Can someone who is proficient in ASL post the words that each of his signs represents? I'm esp interested in the Z at the end. TIA

  • @GFApryl They don't all represent words. He is relying a lot on classifiers, which is more like making shapes with the fingerspelling letters.

  • '

wow very good sign language from A to Z,,,

how about backward Z to A,,,

    just wonder

  • Awesome! :D

  • Cool!

  • I just start to learn ASL recently, am hard of hearing. I can sign some simple words now. I joined a great deaf daing site, ----Deafornot dot c om----, and met some good deaf/HOH friends over there. They help me to learn ASL.

  • awsome!

  • asl ABC Story¡

  • He has a thick accent! I don't understand him!

  • Haha very funny

  • i feel proud of myself that i caught all the letters xD yay!

  • Very very good.I've never seen such an ABC ASL story!!!

  • very cool.

    was that a BSL "T"

    tsk!

  • matthewandrew... how about using ASL "T" (for bathroom)?

  • omg that was good .. u should put music in the background tho lol xx

  • ... why?

  • aw, that was cute!

that's not the sign for "t" though... unless that's just a different variation on it

  • @peppalina1 the "T" was meant to represent the popular "sign" for timeout.

  • this is fantastic. thank you for posting!

  • i love abc stories and handshape stories i have to do one in my asl 2 class for a project

  • I like this story I will like to learn abc stories in asl.

  • Cool, thank you for telling me about it.....

  • So cute I liked it a lot!

  • This is very good abc story and I learned it before but it was hard to learn make abc story.

  • hahaha that was incredibly entertaining :)

  • awesomeness!!!

  • omg this is so good.

i had to do one of these in ASL,

and mine was horrible compared to this. lol.

  • I don't understand what you did for "R"?

I am deaf.. It's great story ABC story!

  • That R-hand by the mouth is a sign for Cigar.

  • Thank you!! :) I understand..

  • aww it was cute! i was just wondering if T counts. lol

  • i love ur abc story and you really did great job! keep work! =D

  • Loved the story. I know ASL

  • i didn't understand what you did for "G"

"T" doesnt even make sense..well, it does, but you didn't use the right handshape for it

and did you sign STUCK for "U"?

  • "G" shows someone walk towards u from small to big. T -- stop lol, and not "U" it was "V" that he use sign for stuck.

  • G was correct and yes, t was stop and not the traditional t hand shape but the point is to be creative. U was actually used for stuck instead of the traditional V and V was used to look down when he realized he didn't have his gun's.

  • Ohh lol, thank you for telling me about it. i don't noticed it but he sign faster than i do. xD

  • AMAZING!

  • GJ! I prefer it live. ;p

    - Pam

  • great story!

  • wish i knew what he was saying :C

  • he used the letters as his props, what he was signing was the alphabet, but he used the shapes of the ASL letters to act out the story.

or maybe that was sarcasm, i have a tough time figuring out when people are being sarcastic.

  • neat!

  • LOL wow.. It seem so cool, it funny.. I love it..

  • hahahaha nice story

  • I like it. cool !

  • Alphabet Cowboy! :D

  • yes like

  • Haha, it was cute, though.

  • this is a very nice video

  • nice video very good abc story!

  • nice video very entertaining

  • Man... "T" is missing... this is time out.

  • sum dude got shot for puttin up the rong sign

  • lol thats a cute story

  • That's not the letter "t" that his sign look like word sign "time out."

  • um...that's not the letter "t"

  • that wasn't the right t in asl it's more of a closed fist with your thumb under your endiex finger and there are so meny benafits to learning asl like you learn fast if you have friends that know asl so they can help you, you can talk about people without them knowing and so much more like talking at a distance without shouting or calling on your phone.

  • That's pretty awesome ... except the sign for "T" wasn't the actual ASL "T" .. or am I missing something? I'm new to ASL.

  • haha I think he was just trying to make it match with the story :P

  • no, thats not the actual ASL T but i have seen that version of T used in some other ABC stories. its just a creative way to use the letter.

  • WOW! SO AWESOME!!

  • This is a wonderful video especially for kids to understand how to do an ABC story...FABULOUS!!

  • love it!!!

  • This is very good that you had practice with abc story!

  • Thanks! This was a very clear example. i have to do ABC story for my ASL class. Really helpful.

  • too cute!!

  • This is awesome! I never would've thought of doing this! I'm hard of hearing myself. I know quite a bit of signlanguage. If anyone would like to learn a bit, I'd be more than happy to post a video or two with some other signs. ^.^ Glad people are taking an interest in this.

  • That was really good, i am pretty good at understanding sign lang. im going to school for it. i had minor problems but that was pretty cute. Cowboy? right seemed like it.

  • I really liked this.

  • that is cool i could understand a little bit of it i am trying to learn sign right now we have a deaf friend and we learn a couple of signs a day.

  • This is very entertaining :)

  • i really enjoyed this. you're great!

  • Excellent job!

  • ah!! that's so cool!!!

  • haha my teacher told me one like that, it was a bit different,......

it wasn't really about baseball,...or was ot cowboys?...i forgot

  • yesh... nice like you.... very good..

  • lol i liked it

  • cool

  • :)i like i like

  • love the story...showing it to students so they can learn proper use of CLs

    great job!

  • It is not home signs, it is a use of classifiers, however it is a cultural story telling technique. These stories are common in residential schools. It is like deaf poetry. It is not suppose to be an exact rendition of the sign, just a story! Enjoy and do not be critical! HE IS AWESOME!

  • I agree, it was a very loose version of a few ASL letters. But overall, a neat idea.

  • This was awesome!

  • That was great!

  • loved it

  • It was the best asl story ever!

  • Hey this guy cheats! The H handshape isn't formed with the thumb. And the letter T isn't used here, just the sign TIME-OUT. And there's more...

Any ASL ABC story judges out there? Your verdict?

  • my verdict: innocent of count #1. innocent of count #2. innocent of all other counts.

seriously though, he did excellently despite these minor (!) "slip ups" that are irrevelant anyway.

  • It's not cheating... it's artistic/creative liberty. :-) Sometimes hearing people don't rhyme either. LOL.

GREAT JOB!!!!! I loved it, very creative.

  • Its called home signing it gestures and signs that are a little different

  • I dunno, I'd call it more like Classifiers. Classifiers is the use of hand shapes to make a story or picture. Home sign is just a sign that is used within a family.

  • errr...Classifiers (CLs) is not the use of handshapes..CLs ARE handshapes that represent an object, a person, but also an action in a sentence

    my two cents...

  • yeah, but he still got the point across...

  • FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • thank u...

  • Awesome

  • once again it was nice : D

  • Great!

  • WONDERFUL!
