@laysea65 Boy had returned to the compound, and George heard a commotion, he ran out of the hut and found Boy had attacked one of George's Kenyan helpers and had him in his mouth. George felt he had no choice and shot and killed Boy. The Kenyan also died from his injuries. They buried boy on the compound grounds. George was murdered in the late 1980s by poachers near his compound. George Adamson is buried beside Boy.

Interesting how this version of the documentary is more human centric than the very old full length version. The old one showed much more of Christians interactions with George and the other 2 lions. I think I liked the older version more. It showed much more of Christians psychological development and the emotional aspects of his connections and losses of his pride, both human and lion.
