you do realize that that is a dian sheng type A, NOT TYPE E!!!!! the type E has paint and the corners are a bit more pointy!!! but that doesnt change the fact that the cube is a good cube, because it is a great cube..

I over lubricate my rubiks brand and now it is great ;p

The best way to make it un crappy is to put vaseline for like 2-3 weeks and then wipe it off and lube it with silicone oil. I found out when I ordered silicone oil. it said it would take like 3 weeks so I had to use what I had, after 3 weeks, I lube it and it was excellent. A new diansheng also came with the silicone, lubed the new DS and it still sucked. did my procedure and it had same results!

Type E is one of the worst DIY Cube there is, probably only B is worser. The pieces are too cubic which makes it lock up too much and it's corner cutting is below par.

you may aswell spend a little more on a better cube..... even if you are a beginner, because you will only end up wanting a better one eventually anyway and it saves you breaking in two cubes. you can get a much better cube for even $7 or $8.

for the 4$ you find them around, you really are going to be hard pressed to find one thats much better. the texture is about as noticable as a playing card. You said the stickers dont peel, but most do, as far as i know. the paint is worse, but you can get new vinyl stickers for cheap (around 1$ usually), which go great on these. If you hate lock ups, skip it. If you need a quiet cube, SKIP IT. if you need a good, durable, nice entrance level cube, cant do better!

as far as dianshengs go, there good for mods, cause there cheap and turn okay, but for a speedcuber you want better fur sure.
