It looked like the suspect was trying to pull out a weapon....Maybe that's why the cop decided to zap him. Either way, that guy was a moron. There's no way he could have possibly escaped anyway; so he was just making things harder for the cops and making things worse for himself. Serves him right.
@SylphViper Absolutely correct. It does serve his remedial ass right. He had a fake gun... and a double digit I.Q., as it turns out. Had the officer had actually shot him, it would have been totally justifiable and understandable, given the circumstances... just not nearly as funny. Good work by the cop, and a funny voltage induced seizure on the rocky riverside by yet another criminal mastermind caught on tape.
@SylphViper He had stolen a car wearing a women's wig, like 50 strings of Mardi-gras beads and a realistic looking fake pistol. He then led cops on a serious high speed chase, crashed and finally tried fleeing the scene on foot. Sorry it took so long- that's all I know about this one.
@splurging247 actually Its more "your kind" of people i meant by the comment. the ones consuming violence as humorous and "fun" i guess its kind of harsh but its how it portraits looking from a distance.
its like your private media had eaten up your soul.
@ElAlexxis I see your point, and it is true that the U.S. has been desensitized to a degree by violence portrayed in mainstream entertainment... movies,TV and video games ect., and I suppose that it does spill over into real life. When you think about the image it presents of this society it is troubling. Good comment .
if they tased him while he was in the water, he would drown

@ElAlexxis It's true to a point... but, there are some, like the bone head show cased here that are deserving of a little brutality now and again.
