braces suck like the first 2-4 days.......i couldnt chew or eat anything n it was really bad i recomend people to use wax on the hooks because it will jab into your mouth until it dosent like hurt anymore.....mine stopped hurting on the 5 day so now i eat normally but it gets annoying when food gets stuck in them! but once calus is built up its not painful anymore!. well mine arent! but good luck

Braces dont hurt getting them on, no numbing or anything, iv'e had my braces for 6 months already and i still remember getting them, it doesnt hurt getting em on... but having them on sucks... when you get your wire changed then its sore for about 5 or less days... but then ur ok, you just get use to them naturally, it may feel like "oh my gosh! this tooth feels bigger than all the others!! and i can only shut my mouth on that one! i hope its not permanent!" its not. its just ur teeth adjusting

I had braces for 2 years, they're a must have if your teeth are wierrrd! I've now had my braces off for 7 years but I still have small wires glued to the back of my teeth. Not sure when they come off though - its not a big deal you hardly feel them there.

I had braces put on yesterday it was free and the package they give you which includes mini tooth paste, wires to clean ur braces, wax and blue tablets, all this may cost u £10 but this was also free for me.

@suscribe3 At the moment it doesn't, you only feel "pressure" on your teeth, that night or the day after it begins to hurt a bit, especially when you bite something, and it lasts for some days depending on the person, but after that the worst part is over. Eat soft food, get some pain killers, and everything will be fine, believe me there's no reason to be scared!

@cuteface270 It's not good to trim your nose hair.The reason you have nose hair is because it helps prevent the dust/micro-particles in the air from entering your respiratory system. It acts like a barrier, where when you breathe, the micro-particles will most likely likely get caught up between the hairs. It's like you trying to run through a wall of gum, where you'll end up stuck in the gum.Though I do think it's alright to trim the ones that seem obvious for others to see, like long ones.

Don't worry about her teeth being straight. Obviously she had them taken off right after they were put on. She's a good MODEL. It's very easy to take them off, as it is to put them on. Obviously this video was well done, and drew a lot of attention because it was well done. Would YOU let your teeth be on YouTube if they were all crooked? @germanrican69 The 'average' price for braces is about $5500. It really just depends on what system you use, and how long the treatment period is. And no, they won't have to break your jaw or anything like that! Lol(: What they mean by that is that your cheekbones and chin will look a little different when you smile. If you think about it, an overbite does have a huge affect on facial structure. They really only hurt for a few days after you get them adjusted, which means putting on a new wire.

I'm really annoyed that people who appear to have perfect teeth get braces.

I have an overbite and pretty wonky teeth. I am beyond self concious with smiling and never smile with my teeth if I know people are taking pictures.

When I want to the orthodentist, they told me if I wanted braces, I would have to pay £3000, because they wern't 'bad' enough. Yet, I watch as my friends, who have near perfect teeth get braces for free.

I will now have to be self concious about smiling for life.
