I've been cleaning windows professionally since 1985 and I'll tell you right now, NEVER use steel wool on a window. Steel oxidizes and when you rub rust on a window I guarantee you will scratch it. Either use a window safe abrasive pad, a clean window blade, or 0000 brass wool which does not rust.

I've been cleaning windows now for about 14 years. I never train my guys to stop in the middle of a glass, and then pick up squeegeeing from the middle of the glass. It leaves streaks that you have to go back and get off. Why this guy was doing exactly what i teach not to do is beyond me. :S He should have just pulled the squeegee all the way down. There was no reason to stop in the middle of the glass.

Silent Diablo, But it's french windows, so it has dividers... I think that's why he has to stop or else he would be hitting the wood divider.. Maybe you meant something else?

It's a special, super-fine steel wool. Won't damage the window. When someone told me to use it, I was like, "What have you been smoking?"

expert-man yoos did drip! and yoos should use a swab that fits the opening..or a natural sea-sponge.....plus is it swirl, s ,fan ,or to snake a window? Also wit plates so small yoos should use straight pulls as yoos did,snaking it is just wasted movement Son !
