You gotta have some kind of "small-man" complex to want to play that goddam thing! It looks like he is holding a fighter jet. I must admit though....he is wearing it out!!!
In 1968 this one was on the top 40 charts in the US for Mary Wilson. I was at School Becket Academy and it was on the radio in the Dorm all the time, those were the days.
If anyone wants to know that song was sung by Nelson Eddy in 1920 movie Balalaika, where he is a Kosac officer in love with the beautiful member of Royal family. Movie was based on true story dating back to 19th century so there.
i can ASSURE you that that isnt true. That is a balalaika. I play the balalaika, and know its history. Ты говоришь такую фигню, а ты вообще не о чем не знаешь про балалайку. Лучше заткнись.

What's the name of the guy who's playing the Balaika?
Freyja1133 2 years ago
No it's an early Banjo, very common in the former Confederate States of America!!
Westyrulz 2 years ago
Balalaikas date back to the 1500's in RUSSIA! Not the CSA. Learn your history!

I have seen pictures of Confederate soldiers playing these big Banjo's just before going into battle.
