Perhaps thirty years ago, when this very production of La Cenerentola was done by PBS, at half-time (in the interval following the first act) Flicka gave a lovely, thoughtful interview in which she spoke of her daughters and of Cinderella. Unfortunately the geezers at Deutsche Grammohophon Geezelshaft foolishly did not include this fine interview as part of their DVD release.

Amico/amica!O tu hai in odio per fatti personali Desderi o devi aver ereditato l'orecchio beethoveniano: l'intonazione, il fraseggio e la coloritura sono ottime, il "tuo" Capecchi (bravo e simpaticissimo dell'edizione DG su disco) non dimostra altrettanta agilità (seppur Abbado colà esegue un tempo più lento)per esempio nel tremolo re-do# che sfocia nel mi acuto alle parole "che tragedia...".

Forse il registro è più "chiaro" (rispetto al grande Bruscantini) ma da qui a insultarlo ce ne vuole!

Esta producción es maravillosa, recuerdo haberla visto hace años y me enamore de la ópera y de Rossini. Según Francisco Araiza tardaron varios años en terminar de grabarla, pero el esfuerzo bien valio la pena!

Oh,yeah,I agree with you,Crazymezzo,Araiza is the best for me in Rossini`s operas.I also a fond of Florez.But check out Rockwell Blake`s Ramiro and Almaviva - I think,you`ll be very interested in his interpretation!:-))

I have a VHS version, but only pirst act is all right, all the rest have serious problems, it seems that has been effected by a magnetic field and the sound is unclear and a continuous wave of up and downs
