I was there that day. Got completely wasted before the gig but when Bruce appeared on stage, it was like 10 cups of coffee one after another. He doesn't look that happy here, seems to be harangueing the musicians. Thank God he got the ESB back on the road a few years later. Still living in Galicia. Terra de Breogán, a miña terra xa.

@Evolve10 little known fact: zappa was a springsteen fan as well. you can read it in the book "light in darkness". there's a concert report and somebody tells the story that zappa was in attendance (center front rows) for a darkness show (arguably the greatest rock tour of all time)

Bruce had his first album, "Greetings from Asbury Park".He rented out RFK stadium,but the show was cancelled do to poor ticket sales.He made up his mind to tour small venues.I got to see him, in a small bar, in D.C./The "Mosque", in Richmond.Bigger venues, later.He's a holy man!seeing his performances, they call it "witnessing the burning bush".Theyr'e right!
