Fantastic planet is a very fitting title for this. Not in a blunt way though, it means something that you have to look deeper into to understand. It's fantastic because it's not fantastic.. It's what you make of it I suppose

Wow. I thought I had a vivid imagination. But after watching Rene Laloux's vision, I realized that my imagination is sh!t compared to his. This movie is nothing short of amazing.

There is no cohesion to this movie, I understand that it is old, but that is no reason for the scenes jumping around, why did he go to the hollow log tribe? did he tell anyone he was going? The whole movie jumps around like this...
@PytD Perhaps the jumping around effect is caused by Ter trying to set himself with the savage Oms even though he was raised from infancy as a domestic Om. He is still a bit isolated from the rest of them by this difference. Oddly, he goes to the hollow log during another Om mass sex. Another Om mass he is missing out on! In a way, Ter is caught between two worlds. The aloof intelligent Draags that he was exposed to for years and savage Oms who are superstitious and ignorant.
@PytD He goes to the hollow log to warn the tribe there about the Droggs going to kill them. And he didnt tell anyone because the people there do not get along with the tribe he is currently with. It does make sense. You just have to pay close attention
@Tomatktchp Agreed. They'd long suffered at the hands of the Dragg and I guess they finally had enough and took righetous revenge on their tormentors. They used teamwork and numbers to swarm one of those giant Dragg and kill him! Never again will the Dragg underestimate humanity! Long live Mankind!
