I guess I was in 7nth class when Idols starting to drink milk on a day. and I came fomr school and found my whole area is in temple offering Milk to god. and to my damn , they were drinking. Can't believe. I went to different Idols and seen that they are drinking milks>> Metal, marble, mud or even calendar.
No explanation for this with me.

Now, its important to say that Hindus worship God present everywhere and in everything, and believe He manifests Himself or His energy in sacred places. So we dont worship idols because we perceive God to be everywhere. So this doens meant Judao-Christian/Islam is wrong, just different :)

That can't be good for the statues. Milk is acidic. There is nothing miraculous about capillary action. I could hold a spoon full of liquid drano to the bottom of a rose & the same thing would happen. We see this every day when we use paper towels.
Stone could hold a gallon or so of liquid per cubic feet. That just a whole bunch of lactic acid sitting/eating away at statues that look to be hundreds of years old.

@TheBusinessisgood considering that I am hindu and my father is extremely chaste and does not eat meat, I think that they dont eat meat as a whole. Some people choose to only exempt beef from their menu ( i personally do) but others, especially frequent temple goers dont generally eat meat at all =P

I just did this is a Buddha Statue. The Milk just trickles down the front and ends upon the floor. At 0:41 you can see the milk dripping off the statue and onto the floor. It's not a miracle, it's called capillary action. You can do this with any statue, a Buddha statue, gnome statue, mickey mouse statue, whatever,any statue will work. Why don't you try it for yourself?

I just did this is a Buddha Statue. The Milk just trickles down the front and ends upon the floor. At 0:41 you can see the milk dripping off the statue and onto the floor. It's not a miracle, it's called capillary action. You can do this with any statue, a Buddha statue, gnome statue, mickey mouse statue, whatever,any statue will work. Why don't you try it for yourself?
