It gives a taste of her tremendous voice and music which I was able to enjoy last night in Brighton, UK where she warmed the audience up for Mavis Staples. I was looking forward to Mavis like everyone else but I was sorry when she finished - with 'I'm Feeling Good' (if that's the correct title). It made me feel good. I hope she enjoyed it too - being a Thursday night with a seated audience and not so many young people there. I guess £22.50 is a lot of money for most young people.

Since I first heard Jhelisa on those old acid jazz complilation I was blown away by her voice, music and words. She must one of the most underrated jazzy-neo-soul singer/songwriters. Too bad

Jhelisa sings in a very spiritual and soulful way. I have been a fan for quite a while. I have heard house dj's play her music and sometimes sample her it. I feel she continues to explore, experiment, and grow. Her voice is truly a gift from God. Jhelisa is a cousin to Carleen Anderson.
