Callisto and Xena had better fights remember Callisto was Xena's equal and other warriors like Velasca and Alti proved to be dangerous opponents for Xena
@Eddtv1 Xena and Najaras fight in 'The Crusader' episode was a greater fight than any fight she had against Callisto, in my opinion. Callisto was Xena's arch rival, but Najara was Xena's most dangerous female opponent overall fighting wise. Callisto never took it to the Xena the way Najara did.

Yes their fight in the Crusader was good, however Xena already defeated Najara, Najara just attacked Xena when her back was turned and she was caught off guard. Furthermore Xena was only fighting Najara to save Gabrielle, Gabrielle has always been Xena's weakness and it tends to cloud her mind when fighting. You notice this when Xena faces Najara again later in that same epidose when the tables are turned, Xena absolutely wipes the floor with Najara
@CherryBradshaw but isn't catching your enemy off guard and taking advantage of their weaknesses a sign of a sound battle strategy? I'm sure you'll find that in the Art of War.
