No need to spraay face edges first. Spray edges let some spill on face. Then spray with wider fan pattern straight up and down like a flat door, not starting and stopping from one section to another risking gun spit and excessive overlapping with too much material on some areas more than others, may eventually get runs

I think the cup was tilted too much and you sucked air into the material tube making light areas on the door. try a detached pot - they work great
