If you visit Yokohama, be sure to visit Kamakura (only like 30 min away). We stayed at the landmark tower. Beautiful place and we plan to return!

  • a shop that makes kimonos for you, that's very nice :)

  • Wow, I would love to visit Yokohama. Thank you for the video. :)

  • I prolly need 3000-4000 CDN dollars to go to Yokohama T.T.... but worth it!

  • you don't need that much. Unless you like to buy a lot of stuff :)

  • @LeonMeekis84 i dont know how much that equals to in USD, but yes.. in fact, you DO end up spending way more than planned. Especially if you visit Mt.Neaba like I did. Its SOOOO worth it though. :)

  • I LOVE Yokohama. I visit there every year when we visit Japan. Anyone visiting Japan should definitely include Yokohama in their plans.

  • wow ,i would like to go there!

    looks NIce :))

  • JAPAN for the WINNNNNN!!!!!!

  • Ive been to 13 countries and Yokohama is my favorite city to have visited so far. Its also the most expensive place Ive been to aswell. I saw a case of budweiser on the street for $32 :p try the $1 sushi bars and kirin city beer halls if you go.

  • Very nice, would love to visit. I wonder if it's cheaper to live there than Tokyo.

  • blahk04 Yokohama is basically part of greater Tokyo. You won't really notice when you leave Tokyo and when you enter Yokohama - it's

just one big conurbation. There's not much difference in terms of prices except for rent which might or might not be cheaper depending on which area of Yokohama or Tokyo you go to. I spent 2002 to 2006 in Tokyo and worked in Yokohama - a 20 minute commute (I lived in the southern part of Tokyo which is nearer to Yokohama).

  • Kool thanx for the info. I knew it was close but I didn't realize it was that close. I might visit this winter and check it out. When you lived there, how much did the rides cost you everyday?

  • blah04 From where I lived in Tokyo (Kamata station) it was only 210 yen to Yokohama. It was about 14.5 kms and took 20 minutes. From Tokyo station, it takes less than 30 minutes and costs 450yen-distance of about 29kms. The time difference is because they have different train lines serving the stations. Also some are express trains while some stop at every station.

  • I didnt travel to Tokyo but once to see the palace.Tokyo seemed so much more industrial and colder to me. The only person who ever yelled at me or insutled me was in Tokyo. I felt like an outsider in Yokohama, but it was much more comfortable then Tokyo. Yokohama just seems to have the right balance.

  • great city! will be back in two months!

  • Mushi Mushi...Bing!...¤:)

    "Y¤K¤3"...hihi

  • Thanks for sharing this video. Going to visit Yokohama this summer so this video came in handy for me :)
