  • what month is this?

  • @sebsnowboardnpballl The drop in rule obviously doesn't apply to Boursemouth... Pure Chaos.

  • looks awesome, might take a trip to Bournemouth now :P

  • Drop in city...

  • get outa my way idiots

  • Im quite shocked how crowded it is for such a crappy wave lol

  • looks CHILLY!

  • Just look at the amount of bodies in the water! Thats insane, must be a pain in the arse to surf. Are there no other breaks locally?

  • no this is Bournemouth pier

  • the waves look pretty fun! is this the reef?

  • @hjmoir no, its by bournemouth pier, the reef is about 15 min walk down the beach

  • If only it was like this more than just once in a blue moon ...

  • perfect training wave !

  • what program did u use for video editting??

    btw nice

  • imovie on the apple mac Steve

  • wow! I like the waves. The break is awesome. I'm really exited about moving to Bournemouth. I've heard that localism is an issue. I'm not very experienced and I will be a bit rusty when start surfing again. I'm a little worried about that. I also understand that is such a crowded spot and locals get a little frustrated when people are learning. So I' like to know if people are welcoming.

  • It's like anywhere else, play by the rules and enjoy. Get to know people and if you are rusty practice makes perfect. Steve

  • Thank you very much guys!! You were very kind!! Your video was very inspiring to me! I will c u soon!!

  • I would not worry about it. As Stevehurst said, play nice. my advise is to watch what the locals are doing and take your turn, Dont let them intimidade you either! we have a few tossers here in north Cornwall who think every wave is thiers!

Speak to people in the line up and ask about other spots too, you will quickly find other less crowded spots.

Stick with it and enjoy!! :).

  • @Douglasgrcalifornia When i surfed there, this massive skin head guy got dropped in on by a kook. The kooks board collided with the angry mans board. The angry man then kick ten bails of shit out of this poor guy in the water, and then on the beach.

  • nice little flick steve.well done !

  • Thanks very much will do some more later in the year

  • Great video! Don't think I'd fancy surfing with all the carnage going down with the crowds but looks like a fun little wave!

  • Thanks dude.

  • been looking for vids of bos vegas reef but havnt seen anything very gnarls - this reminds me of my sponging youth ! wait all year for a good day like that and you're lucky to get 4 waves without someone dropping in and breaking your line - overcrowded small island !

someone put some footage up of boscombe reef over this winter period - surely there mustve been some swells by now ?? keep shredding all you south coast erm shredders ?

  • These waves look nice and powerful, i wanna take a trip to bournmouth to surf one week

  • this is bournemouth pier, on the 18th jan 2009, one of the better days of the winter, great video mate

  • Thanks dude.

  • well good video - you did the editiing on a mac - it well good

the waves are big for boscombe

  • Yer never used a mac before. looked at the video tutorails of imovie on the mac and within an hour I had it done. thanks for the comment

  • Isle of Wight can have some nice surf. Looks very busy down in bournemouth. What time of yr was this filmed? I was hoping the cold of winter might detur people but it seems to be packed.

Yeah I would be interested to see how that artificial reef works out. If it doubled this it would be really good. Still Bournemouth doesn't seem to get so many days like this from what I have noticed on weather reports.

  • Great video - the waves are better than what the artificial reef at Boscombe has been producing at the moment. I guess we'll have to see what the winter swells bring once its established a bit better.

  • Thanks 4 comment.
