  • You only have six videos on youtube, but each of them is a gem! I have seen so many guys totally failing in China, because they were stubborn and unteachable. :-)

  • I am a chinese decendant who have not lived in china. This video has even help me for my personal relationship with my extended chinese family. Good work and Great interpretation! Now I understand why I get into trouble for not following obligations..." you whole guan xi group collapse.." this is so true!

  • Very interesting!

  • This video totally made my day! You are awesome!

  • GuanXi, also mean credibility.

  • even i don't know that's, but it's truth for guanxi.

  • Great video. Where can I find something like this on a personal level that will help me understand why my Chinese wife sometimes seems to do left-of-field crazy things. Nearly always these things arent at all crazy, its just that I havent picked up on what shes hinting at. She cant behave any other way so I have to learn.

  • WOW! He really comprehend chinese notion of guanxi- obligation!! It is very rare to see a westerner comprehend that! Hats off to this guy.

  • Thanks JetLisGreat for the kind words. It is very frustrating to see "guanxi" translated as "relationships." But it is almost impossible to explain what it really means to Westerners who have not lived in China. It is so different than anything in Western culture that they just don't get it.

  • I consider it "connection"

  • May I ask if the word "Guanxi" is very little used in the chinese societies then? Sounds very scary to me :)

  • wow that is excellent

  • you are so right about guanxi- obligation!!!

  • great interpretations! it's the first time I've seen a westerner could bring chinese culture into the western spot light with such a great level of integrity! yes, no matter it's west or east, the story is the same, but the game is different, and that blinds...

  • Thank you for your kind words. We all want the same things, we just go about them in different ways. The key to cross-culture is to accept that your way is not "the" way, but instead is just "a" way. Until you do that cross-culture success will elude you.

  • I understand what you are talking about. You are my hero.
