I fear there are no songs in which she is only playing the piano. But I think you might find her voice in her early days less irritating. I admit her singing got a bit more eccentric over the years. Listen to the studion version of "Tear In your Hand" for example. In that song her voice is just awesome.

i love tori. i love her covers--i hate "smells like teen spirit" but her version made me like it. her "lovesong", "thank you", "losing my religion"..all excellent. but this..i'm rather underwhelmed. i just think bonnie tyler's voice is so unique that nobody really would do the song justice covering it. tori's voice actually sounds a bit whiny here. :(

The original Bonnie Tyler's version of this song has always been one of my most favourite songs ever - and I couldn't imagine a cover which would be half that good. Though, here we go - this is pure awesomeness. Yes, it's completely different from Bonnie's version- but that's the point of covers, ain't it? We don't need two similar pieces. If she had covered this in 1998 or earlier, it would have been magic. However, the years have eroded her voice, and they've taken her vibrato with it. These days, her clear, pure voice has been replaced by this nasal croak. However, all you naysayers who think Tori can't cover a song for shit, listen to her cover of R.E.M.'s "Losing My Religion". It's so good, it made MIchael Stipe cry.

in the great pantheon that is tori covers, i find this one a bit dull. its long, drawn out, and her voice, as mentioned in previous comments, 'mangles every other word.' BUT.. where this cover shines is the end. on the whole, the song is a breathy lullaby. therefore, i think it is really fitting that it ends with the seeming whisper that it does. in short, its good, but its no thunder road or im on fire.
