OMG I have this exact same desk and i hate it because it has so many bumps from water spillage lol I will definitly have to try this out! I've never heard of this process before, does the desk feel like fabric or is it just smooth?
@FEARLESSxx3 It's not a completely smooth surface, it's a little rough like fabric, but if you do the "built up finish" instead of what I did, it will be smoother. In that method you do 5 layers, wet sand it, and then shine it with steel wool. The hard coat mod podge will have the directions for that part.
@ChOcOLaTTeRoYaLtY I've seen people do it on wood surfaces, too. Just test it out on something else first and get a feel for it and make sure you like it so you don't mess up your vanity.
