@bdogxx It is called a shaded pole motor. I got it from a company called Granger supply. It cost about the same as a bathroom fan, but didn't have a connection for the air to go out and I had to fabricate one. There is a link to the company in the video notes. The brand name was Dayton, and search under HVARC, and then blowers. You will find a lot of them there. They are used for air handling in industrial settings.
@SMConsortium The tin snips cut it just like it was paper. I thought that they would be harder to use, so I made the job more difficult than necessary.

Might have been easier if you just bought a diamond teeth saw blade for your circular and cut the metal that way.
