At that age, they are far more attracted to people who look like them, and tend to prefer being around people who look similar to them. However, this is present in people of all ages, and we just try to ignore it when we're older because we know better.

But they also quickly learn not to judge, if they're taught properly. I was 3 when I first saw a black man. He came to fix our fridge and I just stood there, staring at him. Before he left I bit him, lightly. I thought he was chocolate. He thought it was hilarious and I learned quikly that that wasn't the case. XD
