on the american version,or english normal version, the image sistem is NSTC right?
cause i use SwapMagic 3.6,and since i remember, american and japanese games(ps1,and i think ps2 as well)do not give coloured image, only if u have the RGB full colour cable.
i guess my game is the normal american for ps2,cause i do not have coloured image(luck is my powered tv that already have all the coloured sistems incorporated)u think i'm right?
hi darkkefka mai be you can help me i need to buy ps2 swap magic for you because i dont know for how long well be waiting to my deliver to modchipstore o dont knowhow do you do it pl tell me
It will never be done, unfortunatly, the games are exclusive to japan (for what reeason i don't know) yeah, i totally agree, they should release them in other areas, but they just choose not to =/
meh, I got a mod chip, which are legal in australia :D. (not that i need it for FFX international, though it do have some other games that I have imported.)
I love the irony of these "international editions". You would assume that the "international edition" of anything is released internationally. Instead, it's usually a Japanese domestic release, with (I believe) FFX International being a rare exception, since the PAL version also had the extra content.
I wonder if Squenix has the occasional internal debate on whether or not to release international/final mix versions of their games to the Western market. They could make so much money!
Unfortunately, they did, and it's never going to happen. And, would you want to know why? For pretty much the opposite reason for what you said. They wouldn't make enough money. I can go on about why, but the basic principles are these: The price for getting reprinting it and getting the localization to occur, AND the new voice actors, & just because 4 million people bought the game in 07, doesn't mean they'd want to pay for a little remix edition for another $60. Only a small demographic would.
I've been using swap magic for a year and a half so far and it works great. But wonder if the international version could work on the PS3 w/o SwapMagic...
Thats really cool, I knew about swap magic but I never know exactly how it works. On a side note, why are the International versions so much cooler than the original versions we get here in the U.S.?
Its basically like this. Usually, when a game from japan is imported to another country, like NA, they add some form of extra content. To those in japan who dont have such a thing, they usually make international versions, which has the imported extra content, PLUS more content exclusive to the International Ver.
Sometimes they also have the english voice and text settings as well, as with the FFX International.
All i had to do was remove my faceplate, but damned if that was a hassle. You'll have to order something called a card swap (or me being my cheap ass made one out of a credit card) off the website and follow the instructions given with the swap magic.
You are a dedicated RPG player! Wow! It's a lot of work just to play a japanese game. Have you ever though about moving to Japan? I am from the US but I moved to Taiwan - it's cool!
@Darkkefka Did modchipstore give you an e-mail confirmation when you got your flip top and Swap Magic?
