@HazingNight yeah, i've seen, it does not have any connection to Driver series, it's an epic action film set in 1600, BUT there will be a Driver film (now it's in development due release in 2012). here's the details which i've found: "An undercover cop named Tanner posing as a getaway driver risks his life in order to infiltrate a crime ring based in four of America's biggest cities."(the storyline of D1). It would be awesome to see a trilogy of films based of this great game series.

Wow. I remember this and I felt the music always suited it. One of the most memorable moment in Driver history. Also notice how much Caine blinks when they show that long closeup of his face and try to imagine how fast he would be blinking if that wasn't in slow motion.

Walking alone with Jericho down a dim hallway is walking through the valley of the shadow of death. Silly Caine.lol And everyone keeps asking why Jericho didn't use his shotties. I'm sure he wouldn't kill Caine with the weapons he kills everyone else with. He probably reserved that pistol, specially, for Caine.

Even if Jericho was a "bad guy", I still like him since he was a badass. He never killed anyone without a reason. Caine died because he started acting stupid and making some really cornball decisions, and that made Jericho a bit concerned about the well-being of the organization. A lot of people wanted Caine dead because of his hasty bullshit, so who better to do it than Jericho?

now i played driver 2 and then tried driver 1 (sucked) didnt bother with it much, but when i played driver 3 i had a blast, (yes i followed the story line from 2-3) and when he killed caine i was in shock, was honestly the best moment in game series, was intence and something no one saw coming, and that song omg PERFECT

jUST for those that don't know about Jehrico and Caine, they both were in DRIVER 2 and are ruthless gangsters. Jehrico is 10 times more ruthless then Caine was.

I think Jericho lost trust in others after he was betrayed by Tanner in Driver 2. He used to be full of spirit and even cracked some jokes sometimes, though he did still killed people by the dozen. But after D2, he stopped trusting anyone and even killed the Bagman.

The reason why he killed Caine was probably for his mistrust in him after the incident in Rio where Caine revealed that he was actually a friend of Vasquez.

Now that you mention it, it does make some sense, finally someone who really likes the background on this awesome game. Something else about the characters, I don't know about you, but Tanner seems kind of mellowed out in this game, so does Jericho, the only part where Jericho actually seems like the ol' badass he was in D2, is in a shootout between him and the cops in Istanbul. He seems more mature now, and Tanner just lost that "I don't care, I do what I want anyway" attitude. Please reply.

Well, Tanner and Jerry are in their 40s if this takes place in the 90s. When, you hit that age, you either stay young or die trying. Jerry maneged to stay young, but Tanner got a bit weathered and lost his sense of cruelty while Jerry remained fresh. Between the two there is probably a bond which you can't just say "gay". Its much deaper than that. Its like two old childhood friends who see this as a game between the two of them while maintaining their image as mature killers in society.

wow, I really liked your perspective, it's something else, and I think I know what you mean, it's something like that arch-nemesis thing some heroes have with a villain, it sort of gives them a reason to live for and feel some challenge in their existence, something to keep going, but it wouldn't make much sense since Jericho really wants to kill Tanner. Whatever the reason, I just hate to see Tanner so gentle compared to that badass cop he was, and Jericho just isn't psycho anymore.

Anyway, in contrast with the previous Driver installment, we get characters that act more human, they are more real than before(in the way they act), something GTA can't say with it's characters. GTA has lots of great features, but Driver always kicked ass in soundtracks, it's characters story, it has a more inteligent gameplay, rather than just shoot everything that comes to you, and blow up everything you can, which is also cool in some ways, but just doesn't have that "movie" feeling.
