People have to stop hating of Resident Evil 4. It was a great Resident Evil -- but that style should have ended there.
After Resident Evil 3, there were two games branching the story of Leon and Claire.
One was Code: Veronica, and the other Resident Evil 4 (I'm sure u know this.)
The two had different styles than the others. CV changed it slightly, than 4 changed it drastically. This was like an experiment -- and while the games were good, the test fail due to atmosphere.
@Nemesis0300 I agree I mean RE5 was good in it's own way but when you compare it to classics like RE3 well then it's not that great and the only good things in RE5 were the variety of weapons that were available to you and the point of view the action and partner that was somewhat helpful made the game very dull but other then that like you said it sucks.
@Nemesis0300 Somehow I think the idea started from Dino Crisis 2. Remember how different it was from the first game? Dino Crisis 2 put more emphasis on the action rather than horror, same as how RE4 did. Hell even the mechanics of both games are similar XD.
@AmAxel35 Very true. DC2 took all the horror away from the enemies because it made you go off hunting them to get points, rather than strugggling for survival like the first game.

@OmegaViper1 look, im glad that Capcom changed the gameplay because lets face it, the fixed camera angled aesthetic was getting tedious on the consoles back then, but RE4 is more of a parody of an RE game. I like the game but It could of been so much better if they kept the evolution that REmake had instead of having enemies that you kill turn into currency like some River City Ransom bullshit and buying weapons off someone who could logically beat the game himself.
Reminds me John Carpenter's music. I used to play the demo only to hear this song, before going to school. What a great game. I still remember writing on my school diary how many days I had to wait for playing this masterpiece. Maybe I could build a new house, only using the magazines I bought in that period, longing to know more details or exclusive screenshots about RE2. I really forgot the anxiety and desire I felt to play a new game, after this.
@GuroSanzo I remember the days of saving up my candy money to buy Gamepro magazine and PCGamer. That was the first time I played resident evil 2 demo. I had nightmares that same night...and your absolutely correct, that was the era of imagination the era of picking up any game without the need for reviews or recommendations
I would rather see resident evil REmakes (get it?) But in all seriousness I would rather play resident evil 1,2,3 Code V:X again. I would rather pay full price than see what RE5 done to the series...

I first got this game when I was about six years old, it was my third M rated game (after Mortal Kombat Trilogy & Metal Gear Solid) and let my tell you, being a six year old playing shit like this at 2:00 AM knowing damn well your ass is suposed to be in bed because it's a school night, man! I was scared shitless so I always played on Rookie mode and would blast all the zombies away with the T.V. blasting and my parents would be like "TURN THAT SHIT OFF, I GOTTA GET UP FOR WORK DAMMIT". With this scary music is my favourite soundtrack, when I start the game Resident Evil 2, the zombie's growls did me more fear, than 3 zombie come way to me, for me is hard fire them.
This is pretty much the main theme of the game, many of the other pieces, including the police station hall, and the battles with G, have variations of this theme in them.

With this scary music is my favourite soundtrack, when I start the game Resident Evil 2, the zombie's growls did me more fear, than 3 zombie come way to me, for me is hard fire them.

This is pretty much the main theme of the game, many of the other pieces, including the police station hall, and the battles with G, have variations of this theme in them.

@Darkwolf0955 I agree. I think if they wanted to try new genres, they should have made them as spin-off games, not the main line. I'm a fan of RE 1-3 and Code Veronica. Outbreak was...not that good. But RE 4 turned me away. I miss my slowly shambling and moaning zombies.

In resident evil 5 its not really scary, i own resident evil 5 and it was ok its just not like the resident evil's i grew up with.
