Unreal Engine 3.0 Lesson 4

i know how to work in 3dmax but this unreal editor is complicated like all 3d fps games editors. It is like i must learn 3dmax all over again. Allways i want to make level for games like this even in Duke3d and Doom time when i was kid but now when tehnology is better it is harder to make somthing . I think i will make level in another life.

So you cant make your own skybox in this version of unreal just load stuff that makes the game basicly load a default skybox version 1-10 , load this movie- play this movie on the wall.. this movie is now the skybox. or did I misunderstood things

I would love to learn to make games. Just for myself though. You need a lisence to use Unreal Engine? And were can i learn to use this stuff with out taking classes?

you don't need a license if you're making personal levels made just for you and your friends entertainment, just try to make your own stuff and don't try to sell it lol, the best way to learn? idk, get the program (comes w/ gears of war PC and unreal tournament for the PC) and just fiddle with it and look up videos such as this one on youtube, google, and any other video search but most of it is up to you to to have the needed patience with it until you have the concepts needed to use the engine

If not, I know UT and GOW comes with Unreal Editor, but does it come with unreal engine?

you get the engine when you buy either Gears of war for the PC or UT3 for the PC.

They range 30-59 Dollars. its a great deal

how do you get this Engine? Does it come with the game like Cryengine 2 or do you have to have a job with epic games?
