Bob really should take responsibility for cutting the interviewer off, and telling him to stop interrupting him. He ends up mirroring Ross's indirection, voluminous, irritating style, when he really isn't like that in other situations. It is a good case for choosing your interviewers in advance.

Ross would never make my cut in his present state of self-important long-windedness. Someone needs to tell him what a disservice his approach here is to the literate public the NYT seeks to address.
