The reason why Austin, Rock, Warrior, and many others succeed in WWF was because they were able to come up with their own gimmicks and keep those gimmicks coming from other promotions. Many stars fail to make it in the WWE or TNA because creative teams gives wrestlers the gimmicks instead of them coming up with their own personalities and lines. But PSPower, I totally agree that majority of the big stars in WWE developed and became famous way before entering WWF/E.

He knows it's his job to come up with material or a storyline for each guy on the payroll, and he does so, good or bad. If they would have let John cena be the fucking prototype and just given him that attire and props needed to make the character come alive, cena could have been one of the best heel wrestlers of all time. It's no secret the tag team divisions in wwe are shit, even when they're trying to improve. But question: What is the point in having THREE southern tag teams, i.e. Cade/Murdoch, Yang/Moore and Jesse/Festus? Two of them are on the same show. I don't get it. What's the point? Do they even realize there are three southern tag teams? I don't think they notice details in their own product like that any more.

Out of all the guys that you mentioned, only Angle, Triple H, and Chyna were used properly. Christian was never used to his full potential, they were most likely never gonna give him the WWE title, that's why he left.
Orton was given the title too early, but atleast they let him hold for just a month, and he's only likely to get the WWE title if Cena finally decides to let someone else have it, plus he dosen't get over with the majority of WWE fans (Kids) so if he gets the title, it'll be WWE's last resort.
John Cena is over rated, his charcter is bull-shit, anyone can tell you his interviews sound the same, and he can't wrestle to save his life. I say in this video that the WWE is not the "star generator" that many fans seem to make it out to be, with regards to in-company character creation, and that the platforms for many of the major WWF stars of the past were either created outside the company and/or primarily developed by the wrestlers along the way. People don't seem to understand my argument, and I have yet to see a proper rebuttal, because there really is no way to argue it, IMO.

Russo is one of the only people in the business who doesn't come up with excuses NOT to use wrestlers. He knows it's his job to come up with material or a storyline for each guy on the payroll, and he does so, good or bad. He doesn't do like wwe writers and send wrestlers home because he 'has nothing for them'. That's retarded and lazy. It's their JOB to have something for them, and only Russo realizes that.

If they would have let John cena be the fucking prototype and just given him that attire and props needed to make the character come alive, cena could have been one of the best heel wrestlers of all time. No, you have it wrong. The fact is that when Dusty Rhodes was booking TNA, he sent guys like Amazing Red and Sonjay Dutt home simply because he didn't like their look. Russo finds a way to use everybody, regardless of his feelings towards them or their look. That is the height of true professionalism. Russo cares about his fellow man. Look at his track record of shifting the paradigm toward new talent ready to hold world titles but rarely given the opportunity.

It's no secret the tag team divisions in wwe are shit, even when they're trying to improve. But question: What is the point in having THREE southern tag teams, i.e. Cade/Murdoch, Yang/Moore and Jesse/Festus? Two of them are on the same show. I don't get it. What's the point? Do they even realize there are three southern tag teams? I don't think they notice details in their own product like that any more.

In this video,I clearly state that though the WWE is very good at promoting its available characters,its not good at creating them. I say in this video that the WWE is not the "star generator" that many fans seem to make it out to be, with regards to in-company character creation, and that the platforms for many of the major WWF stars of the past were either created outside the company and/or primarily developed by the wrestlers along the way. People don't seem to understand my argument, and I have yet to see a proper rebuttal, because there really is no way to argue it, IMO.

Degeneration X? I do believe WWE let them run with that. Plus, it seems you bash WWE for not letting them be themselves, yet u say the only reason rock and scsa got over was by being themselves?

hmmmm.... WWE can't make stars? TNA's top guys:
Christian Cage: WWE.
Kurt Angle: WWE.
Samoa Joe: ROH.
Rhino: ECW.
AJ: ROH.
Sting: WCW.
TNA's only top guy is Abyss... and they tried to turn him into Prince Justice, which was just as bad as any WWE gimmick.

100% of TNA's roster came from another company. Hell, TNA gets other companys to push thier stars for them. Angle, Sting, Joe. At least the WWE puts in time, effort and money to give stars a push. If we are talking about the wrestlers, then yes, they came from somewhere else, but it is the WWE who gives them thier charicter, markets them, makes them cut promos, gives them worldwide TV exposure... Geez... it is pretty simple. I don't like WWE, but I don't like TNA either.

I love the fact that you say TNA rules, and that WWE can't make stars. Purely becasue it's a joke, TNA can't make stars, TNA refuse to make stars and rely solely on those who already are. WWE have made plenty of stars, still are. Buck up and get a damn clue.

also cena got booed at summerslam 2005, taboo tuesday 2005, survivor series 2005 (im not sure about unforgiven since i havent watched it yet...and at wrestlemania 22/23....royal rumble 2007, no way out 2007, backlash 2007..i picked up backlash and they cheered orton and edge over him..andhbk got the biggest pop when he superkicked cena. even the younger kids were pissed that hbk lost.
the top face should never be booed as much as cena is. ONS 06 and unfogiven 2006 booed too

Who is Batista, who is Cena, who is Lashley? They're making stars...they're getting over... I may not like it, but Lashley's getting over. They've made stars before in one way or another. Thing with the attitude era was WWF/E had guys who were characters in themselves and made themselves, today though, they resort to getting bodybuilders and making them.
