lol good for the srt, but the guy that posted up the vid is full of shit. I'm at a stage 2 tune (maybe 270+whp) and srt's dont catch up to me till im @ 130-140+ kph.. An sti @ 24psi (meaning aftermarket turbo) and race gas would always be ahead of a stock srt in my opinion.

@m4airsofter actually, if it weren't for magazines like Motor Trend, et al, there would never have been a 0-60 time listed for any car. Many good cars were ruined for the sake of posting a better 0-60 time. How? To get the best time 0-60, you want to hit 60 in 2nd gear. So many manufacturers geared their cars to hit 62mph in 2nd, even though the powerband didn't match. So they made that ratio, then 3rd gear sucked. As for measuring pure acceleration, I prefer what they do on a Dyno. 4th gear p
i have over 40 subaru kills with my racing solutions 1050 horse srt10 ram,quite funny they seem to think they have a fast car.0-60 in 5 isnt that fast anymore,my truck when it left the factory with 505 bhp could hit 60 in 4.9....dont tell me its 5.6 or 5.8,thats the quadcab/autobox.....and thats a 3 ton truck with the aerodynamics of a shipping container,dont get me started on when the sti s and evos try and mess with with my 650 horse 911 turbo,sometimes i stop and pull over 2 let them catch up
@Hakuonu sorry i rounded it up 0.2 seconds...you can see my point though,dont get me wrong ive done all the jap stuff and still keep my supra,mainly because as quick as it is and the way it grips (in the dry) its the cockpit style driving position,if you ever sit in a supra....you will buy it,driving positions the best ive ever seen.had plenty of subarus and evos too,great cars but when seriously tuned they do get fragile,in my experience,had a very serious evo5 a few years back ,it broke a lot
That dude in the sti doesn't know how to control his foot lol. If you hold it down just a little you can get it to a certain RPM rather than jumping on and off the gas like that to rev it up. Typical ricer move. (Not calling an STI a ricer car because I happen to like them however he was treating it like a ricer would)

@Milehighsnake98 even so, m3 still has more power and is lighter, clearly saying that the mustang is a better car is terms of handling. and if you put it against a gt350 or a gt500 the m3 loses. gt350 is a custom built car thats modern
and the zr1 doesnt have mods but it can be modded, and easily to 750 hp
and the V is gonna be redone to out do the new m5 again, and thats the best germany has to offer in that class
@charliepioneer Ok, first off, the E92 M3 is 3700lbs, which is the same as the new GT. The M3 is 414hp, 295ft-lb, the GT is rated 412hp, 390ft-lb, but actually makes closer to 440-450hp. The standard GT will lap faster than the GT500. No idea what the new M5 does, honestly, but I'm biased in that debate because I think Cadillacs are beyond hideous to the point that I don't care how fast it is, I wouldn't want to be caught dead in one.
@Milehighsnake98 caddy isnt a good looking car, that i can agree with. but its tough looking sounds good and goes fast. its aso very comfortable and luxurious. and when you wanna screw around it does it well with rear wheel drive. and it has no understeer, but it oversteers quick. the old m5 had understeer and it was harder to slide
@Milehighsnake98 damn that's unexpected. Older srt8's run 0-60 in low 5's whereas sti's go 4.5...stock that is. And power to weight ratios favor the sti for sure. By logics, you can assume the sti wins if they're good at shifting and launching
@m4airsofter In all fairness, the Jeep is an automatic, so there's no chance of driver error, whereas the 6 speed manual STi, aside from being turbocharged and the faults that come with it (not building boost, etc.), all it takes is missing a shift, launching too soft, not launching correctly, shift too soon/too late, etc. and you can lose a lot of time. I personally hate 0-60 times because there isn't an accurate way to measure it.
@Milehighsnake98 That's the point I was getting at: driver error. In a perfect world, the sti would beat the jeep every time. But yea, I agree, 0-60 times are more a reflection of driver skill, but then again, so is quarter mile. Doing second gear pulls is the best way to measure speed in my opinion haha (of a low-mid end car like sti)

Saab aero turbo X and Volvo s60R manual are faster than wrx sti. in mid range acceleration. I have seen it many times. the only thing is the saab turbo x is fwd and is heavy thats why it does 0 to 60 in 5.2 seconds. and the Volvo s60R is too heavy weights like 2 toshibarus together and does 0 to 60 mph in 5.4 sec. but once is rolling the Volvo becomes the Volvo from Hell. maybe not great in the stop light against a toshibaru but in the highway they kill toshibarus,nissan Z,98's corvettes ,etc

Not everyone will use the wing, but they will use the scoop since it feeds cool air to the intercooler. To each their own, but not a ricer. The CTS V does NOT beat all german cars. It only does 7:55. Same as the 2011 Subaru WRX STi with 250hp less.
The 2011 Mustang GT IS the 5.0. 412hp V8. The 6 cylinder mustang is the LX and doesn't come close to an M3.
There are no mods or options available for the ZR1.

and the zr1 doesnt have mods but it can be modded, and easily to 750 hp
and the V is gonna be redone to out do the new m5 again, and thats the best germany has to offer in that class

@charliepioneer Ok, first off, the E92 M3 is 3700lbs, which is the same as the new GT. The M3 is 414hp, 295ft-lb, the GT is rated 412hp, 390ft-lb, but actually makes closer to 440-450hp. The standard GT will lap faster than the GT500. No idea what the new M5 does, honestly, but I'm biased in that debate because I think Cadillacs are beyond hideous to the point that I don't care how fast it is, I wouldn't want to be caught dead in one.

@m4airsofter In all fairness, the Jeep is an automatic, so there's no chance of driver error, whereas the 6 speed manual STi, aside from being turbocharged and the faults that come with it (not building boost, etc.), all it takes is missing a shift, launching too soft, not launching correctly, shift too soon/too late, etc. and you can lose a lot of time. I personally hate 0-60 times because there isn't an accurate way to measure it.

But yea, I agree, 0-60 times are more a reflection of driver skill, but then again, so is quarter mile. Doing second gear pulls is the best way to measure speed in my opinion haha (of a low-mid end car like sti)

Saab aero turbo X and Volvo s60R manual are faster than wrx sti. in mid range acceleration. I have seen it many times. the only thing is the saab turbo x is fwd and is heavy thats why it does 0 to 60 in 5.2 seconds. and the Volvo s60R is too heavy weights like 2 toshibarus together and does 0 to 60 mph in 5.4 sec. but once is rolling the Volvo becomes the Volvo from Hell. maybe not great in the stop light against a toshibaru but in the highway they kill toshibarus,nissan Z,98's corvettes ,etc
