Thank you for uploading this movie. It is amazing. I am now a teacher myself, and I find it to be inspiring when I need a little spark of inspiration. It also makes me cry because it makes me think of my high school band director who unfortunately passed away in 2006. I was fortunate to have him as my teacher for 4 years, but it makes me sad that we could not have a type of send off for him as Mr. Holland had. Beautiful movie.

The first time I saw this movie, I fell in love with it.

Some weeks ago, something made me think of it, and I realized that it had been years since the last time I'd seen it. The need to watch it again rose with a fierceness. Unfortunately I've not the funds to hunt down and purchase a DVD copy, nor replace/fix my VCR.

in movies like this, I am so glad I know sign language. right at the end, when the son says I love you.. and before that, when the son asks his dad to show him some records, and Mr. Holland replies, "yes, I would LOVE to show you. " it was beautiful.

I watched this movie right after my middle school director, Mr. Lewis retired. I cried pretty hard in the end, and in ways it put me in his shoes. I give thanks to Mr. Lewis and all of the music directors in this world that give us direction in our lives. I hope they stop cutting the art programs. Loved the movie.

Wow. This movie felt epic, One Mans journey to touch a community. He originally went in to the teaching field uninspired and unmotivated and came out a True character, Good movie!

Yes, I enjoyed this movie very much. Once in a while Hollywood does something great and this is one of them. Thanks so much for uploading all the parts. It is a very good history lesson I think of many of the things that really happened during the periods portrayed in the movie.

I love this movie. To the person who uploaded it, Thank you very much. I have watched it many times and I never get tired of it. I have many sleepless nights nowadays and I find myself watching this movie to get through them. The movie follows Mr. Holland through his adult life and all the twists and turns it takes. The quote "Life is what happens when you are busy making other plans" is so true.

This was a great movie indeed! Even without the other parts the message of this great movie is still prominent. MGM should not be so strict because it takes away from the movie. No one is going to steal the music from these clips...

Due to some copyright problems with MGM, part 8 and 13 have been taken down. The reason for the copyright: The music in the clips!? The songs: I've Got A Woman and The Pretender are in those 2 clips and I guess they belong to MGM. So they deleted the audio in the video clips. I just decided to take down the clips because watching a movie without audio would be very boring. But if I get a bunch of responses saying that you want the clips still up without the audio, I will put them back up.

Yes me too. Do you happen to know if Julian Lennon is actually appearing in this movie? Because there are some parts that were taken down due to copyright reasons and I am not sure if he does appear performing this song. I have watched the whole movie hoping to see him in it.

Hi ya! I have seen this movie numerous of times, and I don't believe that Julian Lennon appeared in the film.Julian did co-write the lyrics with the music being provided from another source.I believe it was written specifically for this movie. Much music is being taken down for copyright issue. It's a on going battle between YT and the music companies. I just had about 20 video's from my favorites ,being removed!

This was a really great movie. I only remembered it because of the part when he sang to his son, and the way it made my dad respond. I asked about this movie based with only that scene as reference. On 4chan of all places is where the name was given to this movie.
