A lot of bands wore make up in the sixties.....hell, The Rolling Stones were doing it..... but the first band to really become GLAM was the New York Dolls. Look up their pictures (1973)......listen to their music and read about them.....They wrote the book.

Love this album. It's hard to believe this is the same band that recorded Dr Feelgood, 7 years later. Too Fast is damn near punk. It's not really metal. Shout? Yeah, that's harder. Too Fast, though, is pure trash sleaze. Was there even really a "scene" in LA when Motley made this record? People say VH created the LA Metal scene, but that first album came out in 78 and what we call hair metal, didn't really kick in to full gear til 83.

Check 0:10 when Tommy enters the song with the snare and double bass drums, that´s what i call an excellent bass guitar following the fast riff and the drums. It adds power.
