I miss the diversity of 90s music. This is beautiful music. Don't get me wrong, there was great rap music around this songs time to, but today in 2010, since 2000, the music has been trash. Mainstream music can pretty much fit the category of what you just mentioned. But there is still a lot of good music, just for whatever reason it never gets to the mainstream level anymore. Many mainstream artists/bands are just products for the record companies. We are just now forced to search for the "Soundgarden's" of music today

No offense to the other grunge bands, because I love them all, but I think that Soundgarden takes the cake. Chris Cornell's voice is just unlike anyone else. He possesses such a genuine vocal ability that the other grunge singers (expect for maybe Eddie Vedder) just didn't have. Chris would sound good singing any type of music--not just hard rock. He doesn't need to scream to make himself sound good. It's just a natural talent. You have to respect that.
