Jaimie, does your truck always do that? Next time you start it try rolling the key to ignition and back off a few times, then see if it starts immediately. If so, you likely have a fuel pressure issue, which could be caused by a check valve in the fuel pump or by a leaky fuel pressure regulator, or a leak elsewhere.

you could attach a mattress to the back of your truck and drag it along the road to flatten it out a little to be less bumpy. But i'm not sure if that only works for gravel.....
